These recipes feature local ingredients and vendors anticipate the chance to test their passion and put their creative skills to use for a celebration of local food, innovation and culture. “I think this is a really great event,” says a local vendor. “It’s the whole ‘from the farm to the fork’ concept. You have to support the community- eat local, think local, be local!”  Chef Lynn Crawford, star of The Food Network’s “Pitchin’ In”, and her team were in Stirling this past spring recording a show to be broadcast this fall featuring the water buffalo mozzarella!  Cheese and meat will be for sale at the event and can be purchased ongoing at Stirling Foodland, now the local supplier of Mozzarella di Bufala cheese and fresh ricotta! A match made in hops heaven

Recently the Toronto Start posted a story called Beer and cheese: A match made in hops heaven.  The writer, Josh Rubin, comments that while wine and cheese might be a staple of party planners everywhere, for a truly rewarding match, knowledgeable foodies should turn to beer.

We’re not suggesting that wine and cheese don’t go well, because they do.  But we want to highlight that beer is another good match and worthy of attention.

If you’d like to learn more about beer and cheese pairings, make a point to attend the upcoming Beer Festival on October 15th!  It’s taking place right here in our Artisan Cheese Region at the Agricultural Museum in Stirling.  More information on the poster below.
