Black River Cheese Marketing Manager ~  July, 2010

Black River Cheese is looking for candidates to fill the new full time position of Marketing Manager.  Based in the Black River Cheese Company in Milford, the position will report to the General Manager and be responsible for the wholesale and retail marketing and sales of Black River Cheese products, principally within Ontario.

We are looking for candidates with at least 5 years experience in sales or marketing within the food distribution business. Retail experience would be a good asset. Good computer skills are a necessity. Salary will be commensurate with experience and track record.

Assistant Cheese Maker ~ This is a full time, year round position.  Hours are Tues-Saturday or at times, Sunday-Thursday.  This progressive position is ideal for anyone aspiring to learn how to make artisan cheese from the ground up.  The position involves assisting our cheese making and affineur staff in the process of making and aging artisan goat and sheep milk cheeses.  Be warned. Cheese making is not a romantic job. A lot of hard, heads down work involved but a lot of fun too. This is also a progressive position.
